Here at Awesome Possum Pediatrics, we believe in providing children the best possible healthcare, so we follow a Direct Primary Care (DPC) model. By removing obstacles set up by healthcare insurance companies, we are able to provide care that is more personal, more flexible, and just makes more sense. Our members pay a flat monthly subscription and get reliable, convenient, personal medical care from us. You never pay a co-pay or deductible for our services, so there are no surprise costs. You'll see Dr. Amy at every visit and speak to her when you call. Whether you need a comprehensive physical, a quick question answered by text, or a follow up phone call, Dr. Amy will be with you every step of the way. We strive to use technology mindfully, so during your appointments you'll find Dr. Amy focusing on your child, rather than a computer.

Hello! I'm Dr. Amy (she/her)
I started Awesome Possum because I love being a Pediatrician. I enjoy caring for babies as they grow, answering all of the questions from new parents, talking with adolescents while facilitating their emerging independence, and interacting with children at all of the great ages in between. As the oldest of six siblings, the mother of two wonderful kids and an aunt to eighteen, caring for kids has always been a part of my life.

Dr. Amy Kinkel
I graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in biochemistry, attended Creighton University School of Medicine, and did pediatric residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. I am board certified in Pediatrics and a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). When practicing medicine, I take into consideration the person as a whole - their physical and mental needs along with their family, culture, beliefs, and community background.

I was born in the mile high city of Denver, Colorado. My hobbies include playing outdoors, going on walks, family game nights, practicing yoga, exploring good books, and smiling at babies. I love learning new things and sharing knowledge with others. I look forward to bringing my experience, dedication, compassion, and enthusiasm to all of our interactions here at Awesome Possum Pediatrics. I can't wait to meet you!
